Volunteers make up the majority of the Red Cross, with nearly one thousand volunteers working in virtually every function of the local Red Cross, including disaster response, office support, blood services, health and safety, and public relations.  This event is hosted jointly by the American Red Cross Badger Chapter and the American Red Cross Badger-Hawkeye Blood Services Region in an effort to thank volunteers and the companies that support them for their dedication, extraordinary efforts and achievements.

This year’s event was held on June 25 at the Candlewood Suites in Fitchburg.  Speakers Kami Blatter and Cheryl Johnson shared their personal Red Cross stories, and guests (volunteers, Chapter and Blood Services staff, family, friends and supporters) were touched by their messages of hope and gratitude.
