Delivering pre-deployment briefings to inform members of U.S Armed Forces and their families of their resources while on active duty.
The Services to the Armed Forces program is pleased to announce the award of another Grant for Fiscal Year 2011. We will be continuing many of last year’s programs: • Operation Canteen (troop return support) • Honor Flight (WWII veterans return to D.C. for one day) • Youth Programs for Yellow Ribbon Meetings • Volunteer Support to the VA Hospital
This year we will be piloting new programs: • CPR/FA and Babysitting/BAT courses to families of deployed troops • VETSROLL (WWII and Korean veterans bussed to D.C. war memorials) • Veterans Clubs to open at local colleges/universities • Transplant Outreach Program VA Hospital • Building continued volunteer and departmental support to the VA Hospital
