Legacy Luncheon 

 

The 2009 Legacy Society Luncheon was held on November 5th at Nakoma Golf Club,

located at 4145 Country Club Rd. in Madison.


Those welcomed into the Legacy Society each year are people who have included the Badger Chapter in their wills or estate plans. Their commitment help to ensure that the Badger Chapter has the financial resources necessary to continue providing lifesaving programs and services long into the future.

 The Legacy Luncheon's keynote speaker was Bev Vaillancourt, who is an American Red Cross volunteer and has been recognized as one of the 2009 Real Heroes. She spoke about her experiences as a volunteer assisting community members during the Wisconsin Floods of June 2008. She assisted the community by traveling and delivering supplies to individuals in need and assisted community members in finding shelter.  Bev discussed the importance of hope in challenging times.
